Mountain Biking the Queen Elizabeth Country Park

Exploring the Mountain Bike Trails at Queen Elizabeth Country Park

If you’re a mountain biking enthusiast or simply looking for your next outdoor adventure, Queen Elizabeth Country Park (QECP) should definitely be on your radar! In our latest video, we take you on a ride through some of the most exciting trails the park has to offer, showing you the thrills—and a few spills—along the way. You can watch the full video over on our YouTube channel, but let me give you a sneak peek of what to expect.

A Not-So-Graceful Start

We believe in keeping things real on our channel, so I’ll be the first to admit: the video kicks off with me falling over at the very start! Yes, you read that right. Despite all my preparation, the excitement (and maybe a little overconfidence) got the better of me. Let’s just say it was a humbling moment, and a reminder that no matter your skill level, mountain biking can surprise you when you least expect it. But hey, that's all part of the fun! My little tumble added a bit of humor to the ride, and I’m happy to share the less-than-perfect moments with our viewers.

Riding my Marin Bobcat Trail 5 it was was good fun to enjoy this bike on actual trails which I don't get too do that often. I've got a full review on this awesome bike which is a great option for those looking at an entry level mountain bike.

Trails for All Skill Levels

One of the best things about Queen Elizabeth Country Park is that it caters to riders of all abilities. Whether you're a beginner just getting to grips with mountain biking or an intermediate rider looking for a bit more of a challenge, QECP has something for you. Located in Hampshire it's perfect for those based in the South of England.

The park offers a variety of trails, color-coded to indicate difficulty levels. If you're new to the sport, you'll love the green and blue trails, which are smoother and less technical. These are perfect for honing your skills without feeling overwhelmed. The park provides a safe environment to build confidence on two wheels, with stunning views and plenty of fresh air to keep you motivated.

For the more experienced riders, the red trail is where the real adventure begins. It’s packed with twists, turns, and a few tricky sections that require precision and control. In the video, I tackle some of these intermediate sections and share tips on how to navigate the more demanding parts of the trail. These routes give you a real sense of achievement once you conquer them, but they’re also a great way to push your limits and improve your skills.

A Full Day of Fun

Aside from the fantastic trails, Queen Elizabeth Country Park is a beautiful location to spend an entire day outdoors. The park is well-maintained, with facilities like a visitor center, picnic areas, and even a café where you can grab a well-earned snack after a few hours on the bike.

Whether you’re planning a solo ride, a family day out, or meeting up with friends, QECP offers the perfect backdrop for a memorable adventure. And for those of you who can’t make it in person, or want to see what the trails look like before visiting, we’ve captured all the action for you in our latest YouTube video.
